How Does It Work ? Inspection management

 

Inspection Management A company has, in different locations, equipment which must be returned to its central testing laboratory for inspection and test to comply with quality standards. There is one person at each location responsible for the equipment there. A spreadsheet contains details of the equipment including the next inspection date and the name and email address of the person responsible for it. See below. When an item has been checked, the dates in the spreadsheet are updated by the test laboratory staff.

KALNOTE is set to scan this spreadsheet on a weekly basis. KALNOTE looks 4 weeks ahead and extracts all records where the next inspection date lies in that 4-week period. The extracted records are grouped according to location and KALNOTE sends an email to each person with a list of the items due for inspection. Note that each email address consists of a name and an address. The name is used in a standard message announcing the list.
