How Does It Work ? Birthdays

 

	Birthdays Consider a simple EXCEL spreadsheet containing a list of names, birth dates and email addresses as show below. Row 1 contains column headers. Row 10 is blank and will be ignored by KALNOTE.
The requirement is that an email should be sent to each person in the list on his or her birthday. KALNOTE is set to scan this spreadsheet daily. It is set not to look ahead but to look at the current day and extract any records with a birthday on the current day. An email is sent to the recipient address in each extracted record. Notice that the email address consists of a name and an address. The name is used in a standard email greetings message.
